Although pomegranate fruits have been known to mankind for thousands of years, they are used very selectively in winemaking. In the world there are only a few varieties of pomegranate with sufficient juiciness and sugar content for making wine. These rare varieties include the Armenian pomegranate. Crystal-clear wine of deep brown-red color with a purple sheen, refreshing acidity, delicate aroma, pomegranate seed flavor, pleasant astringency of the fruit peel and long pomegranate aftertaste with pleasant soft tannins.
